IT Support Engineer - Responsible to IT Manager

Salary - Negotiable depending upon knowledge and experience

The operation is controlled from our corporate headquarters in Middlesbrough, supported by Bulkhaul offices strategically located in the United States, Japan, Singapore, Korea, Brazil, Belgium and Germany

We are now seeking a highly motivated IT Support Engineer to join our IT Department full-time at our head office in Middlesbrough. The Successful candidate will work as part of the IT team resolving IT issues for our group of companies. We have used and will use a wide range of software technologies, always focusing on meeting business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Support and maintaining end user IT systems within the group.

Continuously monitor and maintain systems and networks

Liaising with internal staff to log and resolve issues efficiently.

Responding to requests for support from internal users (via telephone,email and helpdesk)

Installing and updating software from our Inventory/Deploy application

Patching end user machines

Other software updates when required

General I.T Repairs and maintenance

Basic Telephone PBX adding users/updating handsets

Basic networking for office moves or new users

Using Microsoft Office tools to view and update documentation

Occasional out-of-hours support or maintenance to meet business needs.

Some of the technologies the candidate would be expected to deal with include:

Windows Desktop

Windows Server

Microsoft 365 product suite and Tenant admin.

Mail and web filtering

Systems relevant to the different businesses in the group.

Core Skills/Attributes

2 Years Technical Experience

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products

Fundamental knowledge of IT hardware and software troubleshooting

Ability to quickly learn/adapt and solve problems

Knowledge of basic networking, VLANs, Basic configuration

Server Administration

Good time management.

MSP Management software including Helpdesk ticketing

Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with and support individuals within the Company

Be able to bring your own experience to bear on issue resolution and the engineering of appropriate solutions.

Desirable Experience

Mitel Telephony

SQL

VMWare Virtualisation, Veeam Backup

Server/Storage Administration

Firewall, VPN Configuration
